The character really reminds me of The Bouncer, and I'm not sure why.
When I focus on the back of the character's head I feel as if he's looking at the space between the monster's left leg and arm, rather than making eye contact.
Very cool design on the Giant's armor and I love that extreme angle on the perspective you did with it. You also did a great job with the atmospheric perspective and the color pallet is really to my liking. The composition is great I like the the poses more or less, they follow the Golden Triangle
I think that you could stand to push those high lights a little stronger in the areas where the sunlight is most direct. The pose of the hero looks just a tad stiff to me and the foreshortening of his left arm looks off to me because it doesn't seems to be coinciding with the foreshortening with his left leg, I think they would be similarly proportioned wouldn't you?
By the way how do you get it to ask when you want a "Advanced Critique Encouraged" I can't seem to find options for it.

The monster and the armor are fantastic! I do have to agree with King-Rastel about the arm. Something about the foreshortening just isn't doing it for me. Everything is otherwise fantabulous though!
Nicely done, I like the design of the monster and the hero-character. Tha perspective is also done rather well. I'm going to have to agree with the other guy though, the left arm looks a bit off, but overall, it looks great!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
